Landscape Photography Workshop – Mam Tor & Winnats Pass, Peak District

£300.00

Duration: Full Day (7.5 hours) + pre-workshop assessment call

Capture two of the Peak District’s most iconic and breathtaking landscapes — Mam Tor and Winnats Pass — on this full-day, one-to-one landscape photography workshop designed to help you elevate both your technical skills and creative vision.

Known as the ‘Shivering Mountain’, Mam Tor overlooks the beautiful Hope Valley and offers sweeping ridgelines, ever-changing light, and some of the most rewarding compositions in the National Park. Just a short distance away, Winnats Pass delivers equally spectacular scenes, with its steep limestone walls and winding road — one of the most photographed locations in the UK.

Before your session, you’ll have a pre-workshop assessment call to discuss your skill level, equipment, and creative goals. This ensures the day is fully tailored to your experience — whether that’s mastering exposure and light or exploring more advanced composition and storytelling techniques.

Your workshop will be tailored to your skill level and creative interests, based on what we discuss during your pre-workshop assessment call. That conversation helps shape the key focus areas for the day, which may include:

  • Setting up your camera confidently for landscape photography in changing light

  • Using manual exposure to balance highlights and shadows naturally

  • Refining composition and focal length choices to create depth, balance, and drama

  • Working with natural light, weather, and atmosphere to shape your images

  • Using filters and tripods effectively for long exposures and textured skies

  • Developing your creative eye and storytelling through the landscape

Throughout the day, you’ll receive one-to-one guidance, practical demonstrations, and real-time feedback in the field. With its dramatic scenery and ever-shifting weather, this area of the Peak District offers the perfect environment to build confidence and refine your landscape photography skills.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have both a deeper understanding of the technical and creative aspects of landscape photography — and a portfolio of images that capture the true spirit of the Peaks.
