You’re going to love this Autumn meet-up in the Peak District.

This sunrise autumn phototgraphy meet will take place in a stunning location within the Dark Peak area of Derbyshire. With breathtaking views over vistas during sunrise we’ll experience the change of light falling over the rugged ancient landscape of the Peak District poised with camera in hand.

With the slightly cooler temperature of Autumn, it’s also the best time of year to potentially witness the stunning but rare thrill of a cloud inversion. But whatever the weather brings, we’ll push photography to the max on this meet-up.

Why charge for a meet-up?

I’ve had to think long and hard about this as it was never my intention to have charges for meet-ups however, following the 2023 meet-up’s I found that there were two reasons that made charging a small fee necessary.

1. Free stuff carries no commitment. Unfortunately it’s been my experience over several events I’ve held that when you offer something for free, people will happily sign up to it, take up a space and then decide on the day whether they can be bothered or not. Charging a relatively small fee means that a bit of forward planning takes place. Nothing motivates the mind like money!

2. I really do put a lot of time and effort into these meet-up’s. Whilst I’m a heck of a generous guy, there’s no getting away from the fact that even typing this description takes my time away from my business or, more importantly, my family. Plus this website costs a small fortune each year and emailing out the meeting points and notes for the meet-up days etc is also time consuming. As I’m sure you’ll appreciate, time has value and so I feel that charging a fair fee for organising the day brings value for all of us.
